RapidDeploy and AT&T Announce State of Kansas as First Comprehensive NG911 Suite Customer in Landmark Deal
Press Release

AUSTIN, Texas (May 14, 2024)- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –  RapidDeploy, a leading cloud-native solution provider for public safety, together with AT&T, is proud to announce that the State of Kansas has become the first all-in statewide customer. With the recent adoption of Eclipse Analytics to its existing suite of Radius Mapping and Lightning mobile technologies, Kansas has solidified its position as a national leader in public safety innovation with a commitment to saving lives.

In collaboration with AT&T, the comprehensive Next Generation 911 (NG911) suite from RapidDeploy will empower Kansas emergency communication centers (ECCs) with unparalleled situational awareness, data-driven insights, and streamlined operations from the initial 911 call to the resolution of the emergency. And with the Lightning Mobile App recently becoming FirstNet® Verified™ and accessible via the FirstNet App Catalog, Kansas 911 is using a vetted and trusted solution to make even more informed decisions.

Steve Raucher, CEO and co-founder of RapidDeploy, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership, stating, "This is a transformative moment, not only for RapidDeploy, but for all Kansas communities. The Kansas 911 Coordinating Council is setting a new standard in emergency management with the integration of our full NG911 suite, ensuring faster, more precise responses that save lives."

The addition of Eclipse Analytics will enable Kansas ECCs to leverage powerful, real-time data analytics, improving emergency response outcomes and operational efficiency. With access to a broader spectrum of data and insights, Kansas can better plan, forecast, and manage resources, leading to faster, more informed decisions.

Sheriff Troy Briggs, Chairman of the Kansas 911 Coordinating Council, highlighted the expected impact of the new technology on their operations: "We are now all in. The adoption of RapidDeploy’s comprehensive suite of products represents a major advancement in our ability to respond to emergencies more effectively. With improved real-time data and analytics, we can better serve and protect the citizens of Kansas."

The Kansas 911 Coordinating Council is staying connected with AT&T ESInet™ and FirstNet — America’s public safety network — to increase their reliability and resiliency.

"AT&T is committed to improving the safety of the communities we serve by evolving 911 call centers across the country with the latest connectivity solutions. This is a crucial milestone for public safety in Kansas — and it’s only the beginning. With the latest technology, the Kansas 911 Coordinating Council can continue to help telecommunicators do their jobs more efficiently and provide top-notch emergency response for the community,” said Matt Walsh, AVP – FirstNet and Next Gen 9-1-1 Products, AT&T.

Kansas’s statewide adoption of RapidDeploy’s NG911 solutions ensures that all ECCs, regardless of size, have access to the same high-quality tools and information. This unified approach enhances collaboration across agencies and jurisdictions, improving response times and outcomes for emergencies across the state.
